The scenic Seremban 2 City Park was transformed into a dazzling cultural hub as over 20,000 attendees gathered for IJM Land Berhad’s much-anticipated Chap Goh Mei celebration with the concert-themed, ‘Love’s In The Air SHARE Feng Nian’. Jointly organised with Astro, the event marked the ninth edition of this cherished annual tradition, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Seremban 2 township.
Since its inception in 2014, IJM Land’s Chap Goh Mei celebrations have become a hallmark event, symbolising community spirit, cultural appreciation, and unity. This year’s theme, ‘Love’s In The Air SHARE Feng Nian’, embodied these values with activities and performances that brought people from all walks of life together to celebrate love and prosperity.
Datuk Chai Kian Soon, Chief Operating Officer of IJM Land Berhad expressed immense gratitude for the overwhelming turnout, highlighting the event’s significance in fostering community ties. “This event is more than a celebration – it demonstrates the bond we’ve nurtured with our community over the years. The incredible turnout of over 20,000 visitors underscores how meaningful this celebration is to the Seremban community.
“At IJM Land, we prioritise creating experiences that unite people, foster friendships, and celebrate cultural diversity. Events like this are not just about festivities; they’re about cultivating a sense of belonging and joy that resonates with everyone. This year, the celebration holds even greater significance as we commemorate Seremban 2’s 30th anniversary with its tagline: 30 Years of Connecting Lives, Shaping Futures,” added Datuk Chai.
This year’s event was graced by Yang Berhormat Tuan Cha Kee Chin, Member of Parliament for Rasah, alongside Datuk Tony Ling Thou Lung, Chief Executive Officer of IJM Land Berhad, and Datuk Chai Kian Soon, Chief Operating Officer of IJM Land Berhad, together with other distinguished guests who joined in celebrating this auspicious occasion with the Seremban community.

The 15-acre Seremban 2 City Park was adorned with an impressive blend of traditional and contemporary elements, including a large paper-cut birdcage, cherry blossom trees, and vibrant floral lights. Key highlights included three baby snake sculptures symbolising the Year of the Snake and a 20-foot-long New Year Blessing Wall, showcasing 300 blessing paintings by students from Art Corridor Studio and The Music & Art Academy Port Dickson.
Despite the heavy drizzle, the event saw a great turnout, with visitors enjoying captivating cultural performances. Highlights included the 24 Festive Drums by SMJK Chan Wa, an energetic dance performance by SJKC Tung Hua, and a spectacular LED high-pole unicorn and lion dance by Persatuan Kesenian Gui Qing. The evening concluded with Astro’s themed concert, featuring a stellar lineup of talents including Siow Hui Mei (host), 3P, Steady Gang, Jie Ying, Geraldine Gan, and Fuying & Sam, delivering captivating performances that left the crowd in awe. The night concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the sky in a dazzling array and bringing the event to an unforgettable close.
The Chap Goh Mei celebration has firmly established itself as a cultural cornerstone for the Seremban community, drawing visitors from across the region. It reflects IJM Land’s mission to create vibrant spaces that inspire meaningful connections and celebrate diversity.

“Our partnership with Astro has been pivotal in elevating the Chap Goh Mei celebration to new heights each year. Together, we’ve created an event that not only celebrates cultural heritage but also strengthens bonds within our diverse community.
